Abstract

In the current century, organizations face unprecedented challenges that differ significantly from those of past decades, necessitating organizational renewal, the acquisition of strategic advantages, and the retention of high-level knowledge. Many scholars, consultants, and managers now recognize knowledge as the primary resource for competitive advantage, surpassing traditional capital, as physical assets hold limited value unless individuals possess the expertise to utilize them effectively; thus, an organization’s understanding of how to execute its operations is the cornerstone of its success. Since knowledge management is a fundamental driver of success, this research aims to broaden the managerial perspective on knowledge management processes, which have become an integral part of life, science, and professional practice, significantly impacting organizational effectiveness. Consequently, this study explores the types of knowledge—both tacit and explicit—and examines knowledge management processes, including identification, goal setting, generation, storage, and application, among managers and assistants at the State Company for Leather Industries to measure their impact on organizational effectiveness.

Abstract (Arabic)
